My name is Sierra, and I am a digital designer. I earned my Associate's in Digital Animation at Mohawk Valley Community College(MVCC), and am finishing my Bachelor's in Game Art and Development at Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU). I specialize in illustration, 3D modeling, animation, and editing. Throughout my educational experience at both of these facilities while independently studying (practicing on my own while not in class), I have worked with industry-standard tools to create my artwork. Autodesk programs such as Maya, Zbrush, Mudbox, and 3DS Max max are what I used for my projects. Including Adobe software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, and Premiere. I worked with game engines Unity and Unreal Engine 4.27 as well.
When I was a little girl I was always doing illustrations, and obsessed with making characters, flowers, hearts, and weapons. My mother was an artist, and my father was into video games. I started liking video games because of him, and I liked both 2D and 3D animation from older movies and shows I watched growing up (Pepper Ann, Jimmy Neutron, Timon and Pumba series, Titan A.E, Disney Gargoyles, Treasure Planet, Viva Pinata, Codename Kids Next Door, Code Lyoko, Chowder, Pokemon/90s version, Spongebob, The Page Master, etc.).
One of my greatest passions is coming up with something new that impresses people and puts smiles on everyone's faces. To prioritize different projects and work on unheard/lesser-known stories that could excite the crowd. I aspire to apply this mindset to future movies, shows, video games, advertisements, and pure art, just like older artists have done before.
As an artist, I am essentially interested in creating various pieces to show that my work is diverse, from 3D to 2D artwork. My work explores multiple art styles, from 3D environments, illustrations, 3D modeled assets and props, digital imagery, and character designs.
I wish to help with video game projects, advertisements, and hopefully future movies/shows. But for now, as of this moment, that is what I am aiming for. My focus is making 3D environment/prop modeling, but I also do digital illustrations, digital imagery (photo editing), character creations, and sometimes animation. I am finding ways to incorporate my other skills (mostly illustration, and digital imagery/character creation) into my 3D environment and prop scenes. Even though my ambition is to become a 3D Environment/prop artist, I also like showing various art styles, therefore, I show my work is diverse.
